At Sleepwatchers, we offer at-home sleep studies, in-lab sleep studies, and a variety of sleep equipment. Not only do we perform sleep studies for persons of all ages, but we also offer the expertise of a Board Certified Sleep Physician, Dr. Alfred Habel. In addition, Sleepwatchers offers an optional consultation before or after testing in order properly screen for sleep disorders and to keep the patient informed.
For eligible patients who prefer to complete a sleep study at home, we accommodate these clients with state-of-the-art technology provided by ResMed Corporation. The ApneaLink device allow s us to identify the presence/severity of sleep disordered breathing by monitoring pulse oximetry, nasal flow and respiratory effort. This is the most cost efficient way to screen clients for sleep apnea and is done in the comfort of the patient’s home.
When an in -lab sleep study is required, we do our best to replicate the patient’s home environment. Patients are scheduled for studies according to their own sleep schedules and are allowed to sleep for up to 8 hours. We have two bedrooms, each with a full-size, pressure-relieving bed to provide our patients with the most comfortable experience possible. Plus, both bedrooms have televisions as well as private bathrooms which include a walk-in shower. Furthermore, the facility is handicap accessible and features a warm and inviting atmosphere.
Testing results are delivered to both the referring physician and the patient in a timely manner. We make sure that the patient understands the results as well as the treatment recommendations. Furthermore, we strive to ensure continuity of care by communicating with the patient’s entire team of providers. At Sleepwatchers, we believe that every patient deserves excellent care as well as proper education in order to make an informed decision about future health care . It is important to us that the patient and his/her team of providers all be involved in the treatment process.
In order to offer our clients comprehensive service, Sleep watchers supplies light therapy devices, temporary oral appliances and continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) devices. We maintain an inventory of Verilux Light Therapy Boxes for the treatment of Seasonal Affective Disorder and other depressive disorders. We also currently stock two different temporary oral appliances: the Z- Quiet and the Philips Silencer. These devices are used to prevent snoring and (mild) sleep apnea.
For those patients who cannot resolve their sleep disordered breathing with an oral appliance, we provide a full line of Positive Airway Pressure equipment. The process of initiating treatment with CPAP is complex. First, our patients are given a selection of masks and machines from all of the top brands. Our staff spends a considerable amount of time helping the patient make an informed decision when choosing equipment.
Furthermore, we believe that consistent communication with patients is the key to successful treatment. Consequently, our patients receive extensive follow-up including phone calls, text messages, emails, and more in order to help them adhere to the doctor’s recommendations. We also offer wireless monitoring, data downloads and mask fittings for all of our CPAP patients at no charge (with kit purchase).
The convenience of receiving all one’s services in one location is invaluable. Even more, we offer our patients significantly more affordable services than our competitors. For self – pay clients, we offer greatly discounted pricing as well as free interest payment plans to fit the client’s budget. Consequently, we are dedicated to providing superior services for patients and physicians alike.
